The luckywin saves lives. When disaster strikes, we respond with food, shelter and hope. When barriers of distance, language or warfare separate loved ones, we open lines of communication. When families, co-workers and communities must prepare for emergencies, we help them take action.
Each year, the Gold Country Region brings together 2,400 volunteers to care for their neighbors, train 55,000 people in life-saving skills and respond to a disaster once every 21 hours. In emergencies large and small - a house fire, an earthquake, a flood - right here in our community or on distant shores, people can count on the Red Cross.
When disaster strikes, the Red Cross is ready to provide a place to sleep, warm meals, clothing, emotional support and hope to those affected.

25% of Red Cross volunteers are age 24 or younger. Being young is no barrier to being able to help people in need, in your community and around the world!
We collect blood every day from donors who help ensure a safe supply of blood when it’s needed.
