We partnered with WTVM News Leader Channel 9 for the #BloodSavesLives telethon in support of National Blood Donor Month. We booked 50 appointments during the telethon! Thank you to all who gave their time and service to make this happen.

Harris Grahn and his daughter Alicia Jones, a Red Cross Greater Atlanta board member, thank the Red Cross for assisting Mr. Grahn with reconnecting him to his birth family in Latvia after spending decades in the U.S. without them. Here is his story.
During the Spring Sound the Alarm home fire prevention campaign, the Red Cross, and partners nationwide aimed to install more than 50,000 free smoke alarms. Staff, volunteers, and community partners installed more than 1,300 free smoke alarms statewide!

From June 10 - 24, 2023 the Atlanta Braves and Delta Airlines hosted the 15th Annual All-American Blood Drive at multiple sites in Metro-Atlanta. This year we exceeded our goal by adding 665 pints to the blood supply to save lives!

This summer, we gathered for the Annual LifeBoard Luncheon to celebrate member companies’ achievements & kick off the coming year! Members have hosted 133 blood drives, collected 6,199 pints of blood, & recruited 850 first-time donors over the past year!

The King Center and the Red Cross National Diversity Advisory Council met in Atlanta to look at the intersections of nonviolence and DEI and explore the King Center's efforts to share its renowned nonviolence curriculum on a larger scale.
News Story: Partnership with Eric Emanuel to Help Motivate Younger Generation of Donors
We hosted a blood drive in partnership with NYC-based influencer, designer, & blood donor Eric Emanuel who designed limited-edition mesh shorts exclusively for all who came out to donate. We collected 126 pints of blood with 106 first-time donors!

Rosa was cooking in her kitchen when her pan erupted into a grease fire. To help in the hours after the fire, Red Cross volunteers met with Rosa to provide comfort, emergency financial assistance, and other critical support. Here’s her story.
