City of Amarillo transitÌýruns from Monday – Saturday, when temperatures are 38 degrees or lower: Amarillo provides free bus rides to people and their pets seeking shelter at:

Day Shelters:

• The PARC: Open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., 413 S.W. Sixth Ave.
• Guyon Saunders Resource Center: Open Sunday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., 200 S. Tyler St. (Closed Saturdays).
• Amarillo Downtown Public Library: 413 S.E. Fourth Ave. (Closed on COA holidays). Hours are Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.
• Faith City Mission: Day Room from 5:45 a.m. to 5 p.m. 600 N. Tyler St.

Night Shelters:

• The Salvation Army: Open from 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. on cold weather nights (32 degrees or lower), 400 S. Harrison St.
• Faith City Mission: The evening shelter opens at 6 p.m., 600 N. Tyler St.
• Code Blue Warming Station: Activated when temperatures drop to 18 degrees wind chill or below. Open from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., 207 N. Tyler St.

Warming stations with restrooms, hand washing, water fountains, and sitting areas are available during periods when the temperature low is expected to fall below 32 degrees.Ìý

LUBBOCK WARMING CENTERS
According to the city's website, an emergency warming center can be opened and operated when the National Weather Service (NWS) forecasts temperatures at 25 degrees or below, an inch or more of snow, temperatures below 32 degrees with an inch of driving rain, severe wind chills or extreme temperature fluctuations.

All library branchesÌýwill serve as warming centers during their normal operating hours, offering water, free Wi-Fi and charging stations for anyone needing to safely get out of the cold.
