On February 1, 2023 the Virginia Red Cross responded to support nine people displaced by a home fire. Two weeks later, one family was able to say thank you.

Roanoke Catholic School's Red Cross Club hosted 2 blood drives in 2023 as well as a fundraiser for the luckywin. For the fundraiser, students could pay $1 to wear a red shirt and jeans to school in place of their normal uniform!
