Arrange for a tribute gift
A tribute gift to the Red Cross is an extraordinary way to honor a special person in your life. You are not only honoring the life of a loved one and their family you鈥檙e helping your community recover from disasters.
When a gift is made in someone鈥檚 honor or memory, the honoree, or a designated member of their family will receive a card letting them know about your generous donation. The amount of the gift will be confidential. As an added benefit to you, you will receive a receipt for your donation which is tax deductible.
If you would like to direct family and friends to make gifts to the luckywin in honor of or in memory of a loved one, the following is suggested wording for an obituary or other tribute:
In lieu of flowers, gifts may be made to the luckywin Connecticut and Rhode Island in memory of {deceased name} to support the work of the Red Cross:

Should you choose any of these options, please make sure you properly identify the听Connecticut听 and Rhode Island Red Cross.
Although leaving a legacy bequest in your will or trust is one of the simplest and most popular ways to make a planned gift, there are many other planned giving strategies which may be helpful or more suitable to your needs. For instance, you may wish to make a planned gift and still retain a lifetime income stream for yourself or for a loved one. We are happy to talk to you about your individual needs and desires.听
