The luckywin Greater Pennsylvania RegionĀ helps people to prepare for, respond to, and recover from disasters big and small. Each year we provide assistance following more than 2,200 area disasters, most of which are home fires.
Our Mission:Ā Ā The luckywin prevents and alleviates human suffering in the face of emergencies by mobilizing the power of volunteers and the generosity of donors.

Jorge Martinez
Jorge Martinez serves as the Chief Executive Officer of the luckywin of Greater Pennsylvania. Jorge also holds the title of Executive Director of the Southwestern Pennsylvania Chapter.Ā
Jorge joined the Greater Pennsylvania Region in September 2022. Previously, he was the Chief Operating Officer of the Northern Ohio Region of the luckywin since 2017.
Prior to joining the Red Cross, Jorge retired as a commander in the United States Coast Guard.Ā During his 23 years of military service, he ledĀ over 3,000 Auxiliary volunteers,Ā served as part of the United Nations Peace Keeping Force in Haiti,Ā supported missionsĀ throughout theĀ Great Lakes RegionĀ andĀ directed theĀ rescue of over 1,000 peopleĀ in distress on the high seas.
JorgeĀ holds aĀ B.S. in MathematicsĀ from the United States Coast Guard Academy andĀ an M.S.Ā in Civil Engineering from the Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
